‘China engulfed Tibet. It had breached the trust and waged war on India in 1962. Now it is eyeing  POK. This is a serious threat to India’, lamented RSS national executive council member Indresh Kumar in special interview given to Kannada daily ‘Hosa Digantha’.

While talking on growing China threat, which RSS has also adopted a resolution, Indresh Kumar said that, India made a mistake by accepting Tibet as a part of China. India’s will be secured if Tibet gets freedom from China.  He also added that, we can believe China only if it frees Kashmir, Kailash Manas Sarovar and other parts of India it has occupied and Indian govt should work on regaining lost territories.

While advising union govt of India to have clear stand on Pakistan and Bangladesh, Indresh Kumar said “2.5 crore illegal Bangladesh immigrants to India should be sent to all the countries of the World and they should be denied of any voting rights in India, otherwise an illegal infiltrator will rule us tomorrow”.

On the ongoing debate of giving autonomy to J&K, Kumar expressed his belief that, giving autonomy to Jammu & Kashmir is the first step towards another partition of the country. “The only solution to Kashmir problem is to urge Kashimiri people to love India”, Indresh said.

On the malicious campaign of branding patriotic organizations a ‘terror  goups’, Indrsh kumar said that, ‘all the allegations against RSS are politically motivated and the investigating agencies have no proof about RSS’s involvement in any terror acts’. Elaborating on the issue, Kumar questioned, ‘why was nationalistic orgnisation RSS was banned  and  why  was  congress spared from the ban, when it killed democracy by imposing emergency in 1975 and also when it massacred thousands of Sikhs on Delhi streets?”.

Expressing his concern over the present scenario, Indresh Kumar said that, “ the World is looking towards India for solutions. But out leaders are involved in cheap politicts and are not concerned about the serious issues the country Is facing”. 

ससम्मान वापसी विस्थापित कश्मीरी पंडितों का अधिकार

हमारा कर्तव्य और स्वभाव हमारे भूमि से जुड़ा है। हम देखते हैं दुनिया में, ये जो सारी बातें मैं बोल रहा हूं- जाकी रहे भावना जैसी प्रभु मुरति ..... देखहिं तैसी। अपने यहां पर सबकी मान्यता है, बाकी दुनिया में नहीं है। हमारी भावना ऐसी क्यों है? यह इसलिए है क्योंकि युगों से हमारा देश एक सुरक्षित भूमि रहा है। यातायात के साधन कम थे, घोड़ों और बैलगाड़ियों पर सवारियां होती थी। उस समय हिंदू-कुश से लेकर आराकांत की पहाड़ियों तक पूरे फैले हिमालय ने कम्पाउंड का काम किया, बाहर से कोई आने वाला नहीं है। व्यापार करने वाले इक्का-दुक्का आए, लेकिन समूह तो आएगी नहीं, सेना तो आ नहीं सकती। बाकी तीनों ओर से सागर है। तौ कौन आएगा। अंदर कोई आने वाला नहीं है, हमी लोग हैं। विस्तीर्ण भूमि है। सुजलां, सफलां, मलयज शीतलां, इसीलिए खाने-पीने के लिए पर्याप्त है। सब अपने ही लोग हैं, झगड़ा करने का स्वभाव ही नहीं बनता। बाहर से कोई आ भी गया तो हम उसको कहते हैं कि भई तू भी बस जा। बहुत बड़ा विस्तीर्ण देश है। इसलिए भाषाएं अनेक हैं, पहले से आदत है। भरपूर होता है इसलिए फूर्सत मिलती है, कम श्रमों में भरपूर देने वाली भूमि और कृषि एक मात्र साधन, ऐसा उस जमाने में था, तो फूर्सत भी रहती थी और चिंतन भी बहुत होता था। चिंतन के द्वारा लोगों ने अनुमान लगाया कि अपने-अपने तरीके से लोग सत्य को समझते हैं। सत्य को कौन कैसे समझता है इसका महत्व नहीं है बल्कि मिलजुलकर रहो। इसलिए नया कोई आता है, तो उसकी भाषा मालूम नहीं, पंथ, सम्प्रदाय मालूम नहीं, फिर भी हम कहते हैं कि ठीक है हमारे साथ रहो। ये गुण हमारी भूमि ने हमको प्रदान किया है। 

रेगिस्तान में कोई पैदा हुआ तो वहां की भूमि से कुछ मिलने वाला है नहीं। दो ही मार्ग हैं- सेवा करो अथवा लूट कर लो। व्यापारियों के काफिले आते जाते हैं, वहां पर अच्छी सेवा करो, नहीं तो उनको लूटो। अच्छी सेवा से लूट करना ये सार्टकट है। चोरी से जल्दी मिलता है। आदमी के मन में धर्म का चिंतन नहीं होगा, तो आदमी नैतिकता से जल्दी भागता है। क्योंकि जिसका धर्म नहीं है वह अपने पेट को केवल देखता है। आहार, निद्रा, भय, मैथुनं च, ......। तो उधर भागता है, लेकिन आपको लूटना है तो लोग भी आपको लुटेंगे। तो आपको सदैव तैयार रहना है। सोल्जर कमेटी बनना है। और सेना में ऐसा है जो अपना है यह मालूम है वही अपना है, बाकी सब लोग शक के घेरे में है। इसलिए कट्टर स्वभाव अपने आप ही बनता है। 

जिनके भूमि से बहुत ज्यादा मिलता नहीं, जीवन की आवश्यकता पूरी करनी है तो सागर लांघकर जाने के लिए नौकानयन करना पड़ता है, व्यापार करना पड़ता है। वो नौकानयन के साहसी स्वभाव के साथ-साथ व्यापार का कपट भी अपने स्वभाव में ले आते हैं। हम देखते हैं ऐसे ही स्वभाव चलता है।

हम लोगों को बार-बार वहां से विस्थापित क्यों होना पड़ा है। हमारी अपनी कमियां जो कुछ भी होंगी, वो होगी। लेकिन उसका वाह्य कारण या निमित्त कारण है यह कट्टरता। और इस कट्टरता का उपाय हमारे पास है। यदि हम वहां रहते हैं तो इस कट्टरता के विष को समाप्त कर देंग। लेकिन ये जो हमारा स्वभाव है यह अपनी भूमि के कारण बना है। और इसलिए भूमि से वियोग यानी अपने स्वभाव से वियोग। तो स्वभाव छोड़ने वालों का क्या होता है, ठीक नहीं होता है। अपने स्वभाव से वियुक्त नहीं होना चाहते तो अपनी भूमि से भी वियुक्त नहीं होना चाहते। इसलिए मैं अपने घर में रहूं, अपने जमीन पर रहूं। आप लीगलिटी या मोरलिटी में मत जाइए। ये बिल्कुस सत्य मांग है। ये तर्क वाली बात नहीं है। सत्य तर्क के परे ही होता है। दोनों हाथ की दस उंगलियों को हम बच्चों को तर्क से कभी-कभी ग्यारह बताते हैं। तो इसका कारण यह है कि वह जानता नहीं है या उसके पास ज्ञान नहीं है। हालांकि वह समझ भी रहा है कि यह झूठ है लेकिन बड़े के सामने बुद्धि नहीं चला सकता। अंत में वह कहता है कि नहीं-नहीं आप हमको मत बरगलाओ, मैं जानता हूं कि दस उंगलिया हैं। तो अपने हृदय में हम जानते हैं और किस साक्ष्य की आवश्यकता है। 

लोग युक्तिवाद की बातें करते हैं लेकिन युक्तिवाद, तर्कवाद की बात ही नहीं है। युक्तिवाद और तर्कवाद की बातें करने वालों का इरादा ठीक नहीं। कितनी सीधी सी बात है कि कश्मीर के रहने वाले कश्मीर में रहें। लेकिन इसको लेकर बड़ा भारी बवाल और न जाने क्या-क्या हो रहा है। और इतनी सरल बात है वो हो नहीं रही। ये उल्टी नीति कब बदलती है, जब शिव जागृत होते हैं तब बदलती है। अपने हृदय के शिव को समाज व धर्म के लिए जागृत करना चाहिए। 

पहले राजनीति अपने जगह रहती थी। वह अपने मर्यादा का अतिक्रमण नहीं करती थी। हर बात में राजनीति नहीं होती थी। केवल राष्ट्र संबंध और कानून व सुव्यवस्था का नियंत्रण, इसमें राजतंत्र काम करता था। बाकी सारा समाज के नियंत्रण में था। लेकिन आज ऐसा नहीं है। मुझे नया फोन का नंबर चाहिए तो भी, गैस सिलिंडर चाहिए तो भी, सब में राजनीति आती है। कुछ न कुछ राजनीति बीच में आती है।

स्वतंत्र भारत में चार लाख विस्थापित लोग अपनी ही भूमि से उजड़ गए। ये सब ऐसे ही नहीं हुआ बल्कि इसके पीछे राजनीति ही है। इसलिए इस चर्चा में हम न पड़ें। हम इतना सोचें कि हम जहां के हैं वहां हमको स्थापित होना है। मैं यह नहीं मानता कि आप लोगों ने जाने की बात छोड़ दी है लेकिन मैं यह जरूर मानता हूं आप लोग तब तक वहां न जाएं जब तक कि भारत भक्त हिंदू सम्मानित व सुरक्षित वहां नहीं रह सकते। क्योंकि कश्मीर से हम विस्थापित कहां हुए हैं। हम तो स्वतंत्र भारत से अपने घरों से विस्थापित हुए हैं। ये भारत की चिंता का विषय है कि भारतीय नागरिक भारत के अंदर अपने घरों से निकाला जाता है। सामान्य भाषा में ऐसा हो जाए तो गुंडागर्दी के केसेज लगेंगे। लेकिन ये गुंडीगर्दी चल रही है स्वतंत्र भारत में, कानून व सुव्यवस्था सब होने के बाद। कहते हैं बाकी कानून वहां नहीं लगता क्योंकि अनुच्चेद 370 है, तो मैं कहता हूं कि इसको हटाओ। जिस किसी भी कारण से स्वतंत्र देश के नागरिक अपने घर में अपने धर्म का पालन करते हुए देशभक्त बनकर सम्मान व सुरक्षा के साथ अपनी सुरक्षा के पूर्ण मालिक बनकर नहीं रह सकते, तो उस स्थिति को बदलना चाहिए।

ये पक्की बात है, हमको इस लड़ाई के लिए सबको तैयार करना पड़ेगा। इसके लिए सारे देश को तैयार करना चाहिए। तैयारी में अनेक बातें आती हैं। आप ये मत मानें कि सारा देश आपके साथ नहीं है। इसके पहले भी हमने जनसम्पर्क अभियान कश्मीर मसले को लेकर चलाये हैं और अभी भी चल रहा है। कश्मीर का विषय लेकर स्वयंसेवक घर-घर सम्पर्क कर रहे हैं। हम तो हर स्थिति के लिए तैयार हैं। अपना तो अनुभव ऐसा है कश्मीर की समस्या में भारत के पक्ष के साथ और इस समस्या में कश्मीरी पंडितों व कश्मीरियों व हिंदुओं के दुःख-दर्द के साथ सारा समाज मन से साथ है। इससे हमारा नाता क्या है। ये केवल जमीन या पॉपर्टी नहीं कि हम इसको किसी को दे दें या बेच दें। ये हमारी माता है। आदि भावना स्पष्ट नहीं है। लेकिन ये भाव स्वार्थ के कारण धुंधली हो गई है। हम लोगों को इसको याद रखना पड़ेगा। संकट आते हैं, भयंकर संकट आते हैं, कभी-कभी लम्बे समय तक विद्यमान रहते हैं। ऐसा न हो यह हम सबकी कामना है लेकिन फिर भी होता है। ये बात ऐसी नहीं है जो वापस नहीं हो सकती। यह एक न एक दिन हम इसको वापस करके रख देंगे। इस हिम्मत को छोड़ना नहीं, इस हिम्मत को पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी अपने नए लोगों में जगना चाहिए।

इस्रायल के लोग अपनी भूमि से 18 सौ साल बाहर रहे। कश्मीर से हम बाहर हैं लेकिन हमको अपना कहने के लिए पूरा भारत है और हमको अपना कहने वाला पूरा भारत भारतीय समाज है। यहूदियों को ऐसा नहीं था। लेकिन फिर भी वो कहते रहे, लोग हंसते थे और कहते थे कि यह कैसा सपना देख रहे हो तुम, अब हजार साल हो गए फिर भी वही कह रहे हो तुम कि हम अगले साल अपने त्यौहारों में येरुशल जाएंगे। आप हजार साल में नहीं जा पाए तो अब क्या जा पाओगे। लेकिन इस्रायल ने याद रखा। अपनी पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी इस बात को जगाए रखा। इस्रायल दुनिया का सामर्थ्य सम्पन्न राष्ट्र यहूदी राष्ट्र के नाते दुनिया के सामने फिर से खड़ा हो गया।

लेकिन कश्मीर के संदर्भ में हमको इतना समय नहीं लगेगा। यहां बैठे हुए सबको लम्बी उम्र प्राप्त हो। सौ साल जो जी लेंगे वो अपनी आंखों के सामने देखेंगे कि फिर से कभी भी विस्थापित न होने के लिए हमारे हिंदू बंधु कश्मीर में फिर से अपने घरों में बस जाएंगे। हम देखेंगे उस बात को। इस निश्चय से इस बात को याद रखना और अपनी अगली पीढ़ी को पढ़ाना। दूसरी बात है कि इसके लिए जो करना है वो सब कुछ करना। केवल आपको ही नहीं करना बल्कि आपको तो करना है ही। इसके लिए पूरे भारत को भी करना पड़ेगा। 

शिव जी के जीवन में एक ही लक्ष्य था। सतत् ब्रह्माभि संधा...। इतनी विचित्र गृहस्थी दूसरे किसी और की नहीं है। पार्वती जी दुर्गा के रूप में सिंह की सवारी करती हैं तो पास में नंदी भी बैठा है। इतना सारा समन्वय करते हुए विविधता से परिपूर्ण परिवार चलाना लेकिन ये करते हुए भी अपना ब्रह्माभि संधा... नहीं झुकने देना। यही शिव जी करते हैं। ऐसा जीवन जीकर दिखाना, ये उनका लक्ष्य है। बाकी उनको कुछ नहीं चाहिए, वे सर्वस्व त्यागी हैं। सारे देश के संदर्भ में भारतीयों को ऐसा करने का समय आ गया है। कश्मीरी बंधुओं के लिए विशेष एक बात जुड़ गई है कि हम अपने जन्मस्थान की भूमि से विस्थापित हैं। हम अपने घर से दूर भी अपनी ही भूमि पर हैं लेकिन अपने घर में नहीं हैं। वह भूमि भारत का अभिन्न अंग है। इसलिए उस विशेष तैयारी के साथ हम सब लोग प्रयास करें। 

मैं जब कश्मीरी भाइयों को देखता हूं तो मेरे मन में अनायास ही आदर व सम्मान का भाव पैदा हो जाता है। लाख कष्टों को झेलते हुए भी वे लोग भारत के हैं। क्योंकि हम हिंदू हैं। हम संबंधों को मानते हैं। हम सौदों को नहीं मानते। भारतीय माटी में रचे-बसे हैं। हमें मातृभूमि की सारी दुनिया में प्रतिष्ठा के लिए जीवन जीना है। आपकी इस जीवट को मेरा प्रणाम है, उस जीवट को लगातार कायम रखने की आवश्यकता है। उस जीवट के बल पर ही हम अपनी मातृभूमि का सम्मान और अपना सम्मान वापस लाएंगे। आपका सबका धन्यवाद।

Kashmir Issue: Myths and Reality

Kashmir issue is a widely contested issue between India and Pakistan. Ever since the country was partitioned on a narrow sectarian out look of Two-nation theory in 1947 and emergence of two independent sovereign states the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir has become a bone of contention among claims and counter claims by different groups and political shades. In the process the worst hit has been the facts. Every one is interpreting and reproducing basic facts according to their convenience. Continued abuse of facts has resulted in creation of certain myths that are now being circulated as facts. It is to clear the dust and reproduce these facts as they are that we are undertaking this exercise.

Myth No 1 :

Kashmir is Jammu and Kashmir

One of the very basic distortions about the issue of J&K is that Kashmir means Jammu & Kashmir. This is  a deliberate attempt to mislead public opinion.

The Fact is that the state of Jammu and Kashmir comprises of several regions and Kashmir is just one and the smallest division as for as area is concerned. Jammu and Kashmir princely state (including Jammu, Kashmir, Northern Areas, Ladakh, Trans-Karakoram Tract and Aksai Chin) Other major regions of the state  as per present  administrative control are as :

1.     Jammu

2.     Kashmir

3.     Laddakh

4.      Gilgat Baltistan

5.     Chinese Ocuupied Kashmir

6.     Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

The total area of Jammu Kashmir as it existed on and before 15th August 1947 is 2,22,336 Sq.Km.  Pakistan Occupied an area of 83,294 sq. Kms. ( 37.4%) in 1947. out of which it gifted 5180 Sq. Kms to China in 1963.

Area occupied by China in 1962 is 37555 Sq. Kms (16.8% ). Therefore essentially total Area under illegal occupation of China and Pakistan is 1,20,849 Sq. Kms. That is 54.37%

Kashmir province is  just 15.63% of the part of the state that is under administrative control of India. Out of the total area of 1,01,387 Sq. Kms.  (45.62%)  Ladakh Division comprises of 59241 Sq.Kms.  (  26.65%  of  original state &  58.43% of state remaining with India) ;Jammu Division is 26293 Sq. Kms.    (11.83% of actual state &   25.93% of Indian administered parts); while Kashmir Province is only 15853 Sq. Kms.  That is 7.13% of original state and 15.63% of the state at present with India. Therefore the  Kashmir is just a small province of Jammu and Kashmir.

Myth No 2 :

Jammu and Kashmir Acceded to India but did not merge with it, thus making the accession conditional.

Nothing can be farther from the truth than this atrocious statement.  Fact is that the state of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to the dominion of India in pretty much the same manner as did any other Princely state. Ruler of the state, the only legally authorized person to sign the Instrument of Accession signed absolutely the same instrument deed as was signed by about 600 other rulers of native states. This was done according to the legal requirements necessitated under Indian Independence Act 1947 of the British Parliament. Signature on the deed of Accession and subsequent acceptance of the same by Governor General was the only way to make these states as an integral part of the country.

As far as merger issue is concerned, it is a deliberate attempt to confuse people. No other Princely state, repeat none merged with Indian dominion after Acceding. There was no instrument of merger on the pattern of Instrument of Accession. Yes certain tiny native states merged together to form a viable administrative unit in the independent India. But this merger amongst them had no affect on the overall integrity of the country. J&K was the largest state and hence administratively viable so there was no need to merge it with others or vice versa.

Myth No 3:

 Under partition plan and two-nation theory Muslim majority J&K should have gone to Pakistan.

 This is absolute non sense. Two nation theory was applicable to British India only. Native states were not to be divided. The rulers of these states were authorized to join either of the two dominions.

Myth No 4:  

Kashmir has never been a Part of India.

 Again a willful distortion.   Jammu and Kashmir behaved exactly in the same manner as did any other part of the nation. India as we understand it today was not always under one political regime. One or the other part of the country was  under separate political rulers. But it continued to be a sigle nation.Jammu akshmir was no different.

Myth No 5:

India promised right of self determination to people of Kashmir. 

 India did not promise any plebiscite under the instrument of accession. There was neither any need nor the scope for such a promise. Neither cabinet meeting nor any other government of India decision making body decided to give a promise of any such kind to any native state.

Myth No  6 :  

People of J&K are up against India.

 Fact is that people of J&K are as much Indian as are the people from any other state. It is only a small section of population provoked by Pakistan and pampered by New Delhi that is creating the impression.

Myth No 7:

Separatist movement in Kashmir is indigenous in character.

The fact that Pakistan is sponsoring separatist tendency in Kashmir valley using religion as a toll and in fact militarizing the discontent is a well known fact, established by even the official documents of the government of Pakistan and its rulers.

Myth No 8:

India is Holding Kashmir by mere force.

 That simply is not possible. No country can retain any territory by force. It is the common past and a common future that binds the people of this country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Kashmir is a proud symbol of ancient civilization and modern nationhood of India.

Kashmir Hindus: Forsaken, forgotten for 21 years

The Kashmiri Hindu community despite homelessness and horrendous ethnic cleansing has survived and will survive. It is the tenacity to weather any storm and belief in its values and morals that has kept the Kashmiri Hindu alive, says Lalit Koul.

January 19 is an insignificant day for most of the people around the world. It comes and goes and nobody notices. But for the last 21 years, for one community, it is the day that brings back frightening and dreadful memories.

It is the day when 21 years ago final nail in the coffin of forsaken community of Kashmiri Hindus was hammered. It was the day when Islamic terrorists and their sympathisers gave 24 hours eviction notice to Kashmiri Hindus. It was the day when the threats ofRaliv, Galiv Ya Chaliv (Convert, die or escape) replaced the sounds of evening Azaan (prayers) from majority of mosques in the valley of Kashmir.

It was the day when so-called secularism died in Kashmir. It was the fateful day when humans lost and beasts took over. It was the day that will remain etched in the memories of Kashmiri Hindus worldwide because on this day they lost the most precious thing they had -- their homeland.

And did rest of the world care?

No. Not then, not now.

It has been 21 years since first shots of Kashmiri Hindus' ethnic cleansing were fired loud and clear from the ramparts of mosques in the Kashmir valley. And it has been 21 long years of neglect, apathy and carelessness on the part of all the successive governments both in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the capital Delhi.

Kashmiri Hindu refugees who were overnight made homeless on January 19, 1990 have been moving from pillar to post, demanding their fundamental rights. But no one cares. No one has time for this community because they are too small a number to matter. It is a shame that the one and only symbol of India in the valley, the Kashmiri Hindus, are treated as pariahs by the government.

If it were not for Kashmiri Hindus and their steadfast belief in the Indian constitution and tricolour, Kashmir would have been lost two decades ago. Sadly that stark realisation is lost on the Indian polity and government.

It is not mere governments that have ignored this refugee community of patriots and nationalists. Even the media has forgotten its responsibility of highlighting the cause of those who do not have a voice. These days, the mainstream media is more interested in knowing what goes on inside the four walls of the Big Boss' house than fighting for the fundamental rights of those who have been wronged.

Some leading journalists instead of focusing on ethnic cleansing issues like those of Kashmiri Hindus' have converted the noble profession of journalism into tabloid yellow journalism and are busy lobbying for political parties. It is a shame that in a free country like ours with free press, half a million Kashmiri Hindus have been hounded out of their homes and hearths and mainstream media has continued to ignore this for 21 years.

But having said that, the Kashmiri Hindu is a survivor. Islamic terrorists thought they could annihilate and eradicate Kashmiri Hindu community from the face of this earth but they miserably failed in their mission.

The Kashmiri Hindu community despite homelessness and horrendous ethnic cleansing survived and will survive. It is the Kashmiri Hindu's tenacity to weather any storm and belief in its values and morals that has kept the Kashmiri Hindu alive. While Kashmiri Hindus are starting their 22nd year in exile, they will never give up their dream and demand of reclaiming their homeland.

In spite of extreme apathy shown by the world, Kashmiri Hindus will continue to fight for their fundamental rights and homeland in the Vale of Kashmir. Indian governments, Human Rights organisations, the media, and other world bodies might continue to ignore one of the largest ethnic cleansing in the recent times, but that will not shake off Kashmiri Hindus from their just path to their dream.

Nothing can or will break their will.

The dream shall live on. The fight will go on.
